Tokens of Love activity allows children to create drawings, notes and even some spoil mum vouchers for mum to enjoy this Mother's Day, all stored in a uniquely decorated paper mache heart. Plus, children can continue to add to the heart for years to come, continuing to spread messages of love and appreciation.

Here’s how to make it:

1. Fold the paper circles in half and then half again.
2. Cut along the folds so you have four individual quarters of the circle. 
3. On the one side of the circle quarters have the children write and draw notes of appreciation and love for their mother*.
4. Once they’re finished writing their notes use the ladybirds and any other crafty resources to decorate the Paper Mache Heart.
5. Slip in your notes! Don’t forget to tell children to continue to post messages to mum anytime they like. (You could even add a magnet to the back.)

*If you need a larger space than the quarter circles to write on, leave the circles whole and place the folded circle into the heart.
